Addiction is when the body or mind does not have control over what they are doing, taking or using. People can be addicted to alcohol, gambling, caffeine, drugs, sex, and many other things. An addiction may reach a point at which it is harmful. The difference between a habit and an addiction is with a habit you are in control of your choices, with an addiction you are not in control of your choices.

I would recommend removing yourself from the environment you are in after you have finished eating. A simple walk around the block, calling up a friend and going to visit, or even going to another room in the house can help.
