About Kristin Money
Are you going through something that others do not seem to get or understand? Maybe you feel like what you are experiencing is interfering with your life. Time and time again you are not able to find relief. Does a feeling of being misunderstood and invalidation from others seems to pervade your life? Do you often feel as though you are doing everything you can, but still feel your actions are misjudged by others? Do you often find that people do not take the time to actually listen to you?
At the core of depression, trauma, and grief is a person. You are worthy of time, understanding, relief, and validation. You deserve to be listened to and taken seriously. Through a combination of authentic connection and trauma informed interventions, therapy can be a life-changing experience. I have been trained in Motivational Interviewing, TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I like using an eclectic approach and will often integrate many other trauma informed interventions in the therapy process. I received my Bachelors in Psychology from Lincoln Memorial University and my Masters in Education with a specialization in Mental Health Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College. I am currently an LPC-MHSP (Licensed Professional Counselor with Mental Health Service Provider designation) in the state of Tennessee.
