About Kaitlin Boone

My passion and experience lies in working with challenges such as: trauma, depression, anxiety, self-criticism, life transitions, identity issues, and relationship issues.

As a fellow member of the LGBTQ+ community, I have extensive personal and professional experience working with LGBTQ+ people, whether that is your focus of therapy or not.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Psychology, as well as my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis LGBTQ+ Counseling. I am currently an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist.

I encourage you to reach out to a therapist that specializes in trauma. Processing trauma in therapy can be a difficult journey -- but we often have to process and move through the pain in order to get to the other side and move forward with our lives. No -- we as humans have such complex lives and therapists know this. I encourage you to open up about these topics in a way that feels authentic to you. Try to find little ways to express your true gender identity that feel comfortable and safe for you right now. Even if you do not have the opportunity to safety express who you are right now, you will in the future. It will get better.
