About Joshua Beavers

My name is Joshua Beavers, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oklahoma. I obtained a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Central Oklahoma in May 2015. I have worked with clients with a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, ODD, autism spectrum disorder, and various personality disorders. My approach blends techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy (SFT), family systems therapy, and I am always researching new evidence-based techniques. I use a collaborative problem-solving approach to help my clients organize their concerns and brainstorm solutions. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, and I’m happy to meet with clients individually or with family members.

I realize no two people are the same and as such tailor my therapy to meet the specific needs of my clients. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, family conflict or any other issue, I will help you recognize underlying problems, fully realize your strengths and adjust certain behaviors and thoughts to see things in a different, healthier way.

My practice specializes in treating individuals, couples and families and I offer comprehensive services dealing with:

Parenting

Co-Parenting

Couples/Marriage therapy

Family communication

Adoption and foster care

Reunification for children in DHS custody

Grief
