About CTCS Therapy, PLLC
I have experience assisting clients with childhood and adult sexual, mental, and physical trauma. In addition, I have experience in providing services for clients with co-occurring, multiple, and complex mild to severe mental illness diagnoses. The more common mental disorders I have experience with is treating depression, anxiety, and bipolar diagnoses. I have been involved in assisting clients with brief problem solving, situational issues, and longer term problems. I have experience with assisting clients through their process of grief, loss, or bereavement issues. I have experience working with diverse race, ethnic, national origin, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, ages, marital status, political beliefs, religions, immigration status, and mental and physical abilities without judgment or discrimination. My experience while under-supervision for my clinical licensure was providing assessments, diagnoses, and treatment and prevention of mental illnesses, emotional, and behavioral disturbances with an interdisciplinary team in a rural mental health clinic.
I received a Bachelor in Psychology at Dallas Baptist University and a Master of Social Work at University of Texas at Arlington. After receiving my MSW degree, I went to work at a mental health clinic for a state agency while under supervision for my clinical license. After completing my supervision, passing the LCSW test, and receiving my LCSW licenses in Oklahoma and Texas, I decided to open my own private practice so I can focus on providing counseling and complementary services to assist others towards their healing, growth, and change. Currently, I am certified as a Usui/Holy Fire III Reiki Ryoho Master practitioner to complement our counseling services to assist in the process of healing, growth, and change.
I have provided a safe and trusting environment where people can explore/discover their past and current negative and positive realities and explore/discover a healthier well-being in the present and into their future. I provide a safe and compassionate place where healing, growth, and change can happen. I provide a therapeutic environment where non-judgment, empathy, unconditional positive regard, and congruence exist. I provide a safe environment where mutual respect, acceptance, and trust can be learned, developed and practiced in and out of the therapeutic experience. I provide a person-centered style of counseling to evoke behavioral change by exploring and resolving ambivalence. I provide a multi-dimensional approach when assisting individuals in problem solving. Working with me, you will feel deeply heard, understood and validated.
