Hello, my name is Candice Burch and I can't wait to help you become the best version of yourself! I believe in taking a holistic approach to therapy, while considering an individual’s health, sleep patterns, diet, spirituality, and relationships. I enjoy working with Adults, Teens, and Couples who are experiencing Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar, Co-Dependency, Abandonment Issues, Relationship Concerns, Self-Esteem, Boundaries, Trauma & Self-confidence, as well as many other hindrances. I am especially passionate about helping adults and teens lessen the frequency and duration of their anxiety as well as managing Bipolar Disorder.

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help change maladaptive thoughts, Strength-based Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness Therapy. Taking the first step to a better you can be intimidating. I will walk with you while reaching your best potential and moving towards becoming the best version of yourself.

You definitely don't have too many issues to address in counseling! Your therapist will probably address these issues in an organized fashion by creating a treatment plan based on your specific goals. It sounds like you have some social anxiety-based on what your wrote in this post. With anxiety, the more you avoid your fear the worse it will be in the long-run. It is 100% normal. You are opening up about the most intimate details of your life to someone and that's not always easy. Your therapist is also used to seeing individuals cry in session. Most of my clients have cried at lease once in session.

If you think your daughter is stressing too much it might be helpful to have open communication with her and ask her if she would be interested in talking to a professional about school/difficulties. One key indicator in knowing your therapist is right for you is that you feel comfortable around your counselor.
