About ABLE Counseling Services, LLC

I know and I live recovery.

ABLE's mission is to help adults suffering in addiction or thriving in recovery.

I am a specialist in treating codependence and problematic sexual behaviors.

Codependence is a deeply rooted, compulsive process addiction that develops most often out of a dysfunctional or less than nurturing family system. It is believe to be at the root of all addictions.

Most often dysfunctional family systems have concerns related to alcohol/drugs, sex/love addiction, parental abandonment/ neglect, abuse of any kind, and other traumatic conditions such as sudden death of a parent, family medical problems and/or mental illness. Codependence develops as a means to protect yourself from the less than nurturing upbringing, but as an adult, it destroys relationships. I can help you resolve these issues.

Sex addiction is a persistent and escalating pattern or patterns of sexual behaviors acted out despite increasing negative consequences to self or others.

Recovery is possible as long as you are willing to:

Accept that addiction is a disease and has predictable consequences

Commit to change

Learn from a trained therapist, as well as others in addiction recovery

Surrender need for control over compulsion

Let me help you thrive!
