Is it normal to cry at therapy?

Is it normal for people to cry during therapy, or is it just me?

Hi! Yes, it is absolutely normal to cry during therapy sessions. This is because you are discussing about topics that may be distressing, emotional or sensitive. Therapy creates a safe "space" where you can be emotionally naked with a therapist, and of course, it is normal for you to cry as you feel safe to show your vulnerabilities to your therapist.

I've had many clients cry during sessions and crying could also a healing process since you are now healthily processing your emotions. :) I hope this helps!
