No matter what I do, my mom will almost always find something wrong with it
My mother has Alzheimer's and she has become so nasty and mean to everyone and she always asks for unrealistic, silly or meaningless items. I get so frustrated and angry, but then I feel guilty because I know it probably isn’t her fault. How can I cope with feeling like this?
Having a family member with an Alzheimer's diagnosis can be very difficult. Finding a support group for family members of people with Alzheimer's diagnosis may be very beneficial for you. Being with a group of people that understand can be very validating and listening to others express their feelings can help decrease feelings of guilt. Talking about how you feel and listening to others with common issues can help you feel supported and validated as well as offer an opportunity to learn new coping strategies when things get difficult at home.
