About Charles Lucas

Welcome! My name is Charles Lucas and I am a therapist. I received my Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from Indiana University. Like many people, I chose my profession because of my own personal experiences. In 2005, I was diagnosed with metastatic cancer and endured a year of extremely aggressive chemotherapy and multiple surgeries and recoveries. During this time, I experienced how depression, anxiety, and stress can negatively effect one’s quality of life. These experiences are what pushed me to become a therapist; to make sure that I can be there to help people find solutions to their problems and to help get them where they want to be quickly. We are a solution-focused and strengths-based practice that helps you find long-term solutions to your current problems in a short amount of time, while simultaneously helping you develop the tools and strategies that you can apply to any potential future issues that often present themselves throughout our lives. We pride ourselves in showing you the compassion, empathy, dignity, and respect you deserve and work to build a partnership with you in order to help get you where you want to go as quickly and as efficiently as possible.

Thanks for posting. This is a significant issue for many people and can make us feel helpless; among other emotions due to the uncertainty. You said that, at times, you feel like everyone is lying. Ask yourself some of these questions. What is it that makes you feel so strongly that they are... more
